3 Days from Ouarzazate to Chegaga in Zagora

In the morning we leave Ouarzazate indirectly M'hamid, and the Erg Lihoudi dunes that pass through the Anti Atlas, where the Draa Valley begins, with a short stop for tea in an old village, in the western village of the Agdz valley. Later we drive along the Valley, it used to be the indirect caravan route from Marrakech. In the afternoon, the road takes us to M’hamid, which marks the end of the paved road and the beginning of the Sahara desert. An hour by camel drive to the dunes to enjoy an unforgettable sunset, and to the camp where we spend the night in the desert near the dunes of Erg Lihoudi.

Today get up early enough to see a wonderful sunrise, after breakfast, the return from the dunes of Erg Lihoudi to M'hamid for lunch is by camel and in the afternoon it is the departure to the dunes of Chagaga with 65 km of road and adventure. This route passes through different landscapes of the desert; 'Erg', 'reg', 'hammada', oasis. The sunset from the top of the Erg Chegaga dunes is spectacular (300m), there is dinner and night in a camp.

If you like to see another sunrise show, you will have to get up early enough. After breakfast, the road takes us from Erg Chegaga to Ouarzazate through another 100 km of off-road driving in the desert with varied landscapes; dunes, Lake Iriqui, mountains, we stole somewhere to visit a fossil quarry and make photo stops. Lunch will be in Foum Zguid, a small desert town. In the afternoon, the return trip to Ouarzazate is on a paved road through the volcanic Anti Atlas Mountains. We arrived in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.
