Our Tour Itinerary
Today, we pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech, and depart for Ait Ben Haddou crossing the High Atlas Mountains passing the Tizi N'tichka pass (2260m altitude), visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou a famous fortification used as a site scenario for many famous movies. In the afternoon we will drive to Ouarzazate and drive by the atlas movie studios, keep driving to the city center for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt. After that, you will head to Kalaa M’gouna and Dades valley. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart towards Toudra Gorges and valley. You will have the opportunity to stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the valley. Continuing along the road by the river banks to reach the gorges where you will have a break for a hike in the canyon, and walk through this impressive place while enjoying the views of the high rocky walls of more than 300m. From here we drive to Merzouga through Erfoud, where You can make a stop for a visit to one of the marble fossil polishers, and then continue to your hotel at the foot of the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi later prepare to experience a camel ride to reach the desert camp in the middle of the dunes where you will spend the night, enjoy the night, dine while attending some desert music around the fireplace, under stairs, and sleep in the Berber nomad tent.
Wake up to the call of your guide very early to admire a nice sunrise later enjoy breakfast, ride camels again back to your hotel where you can take a hot shower, and prepare for the excursion through the Erg Chebbi dunes. This excursion gives you the opportunity to explore the desert of sand dunes and around by visiting the small towns and the fossil quarries, in addition to a nomadic family. Have some lunch in one of the villages around, later return to your hotel for relaxation. This afternoon is free, you may want to experience a camel ride or Quads, or any other activities. Dinner and overnight at the hotel/riad.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara desert than have breakfast and shower. After these beautiful moments, you prepare your suitcases.To depart for Fes through Erfoud, Aoufous, and the Ziz valley, stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley a nice place in the Tafilalte region. Keep on the way to Midelt through the Tizi N’talghamt pass. After lunch, you will be driving farther to Fez (the medieval city) through the Cedar forest near Azrou and the Middle Atlas mountain with the possibility of seeing barbary monkeys (macaques). You can make a stop in Ifrane (the little Switzerland of Morocco) before reaching Fez. Accommodation in Fez.
After breakfast, at the lobby of the hotel, we meet the guide and go on exploring the history of the country through the intellectual capital of Fez, considered Athena of Africa. It is the largest city in the country after Casablanca with a population of approximately 1,5 million. This city is the ancient capital and one of the four imperial cities in the country. Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fes el Bali, which is the oldest part surrounded by a great wall, where there are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies, Fes-Jdid or the new Fes, home to the Jewish quarter of Mellah, La Ville Nouvelle, the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation. Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, is the oldest university in the world; Al-Karaouine University, founded in AD 859. This university still operates today.
Today we drive to Chefchaouan, which is one of the impressive villages at the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen Medina has a Spanish-style plaza surrounded by craft shops, and cafe shops, You can relax in the rooftop restaurant or café watching the busy active place. We will spend this night in Chefchaouen.
Today is the last day on the trip around morocco. We will have a relaxing morning to discover the magical environment of the blue city, Chafchaouen found in the fifteenth century by a leader of a tribe called Moulay ALI Ben Rachid. Like a very old center it contains different ethnics; Jewish and Arab and Morish; coexisting together at the same Medina. A very popular town with its streets and houses painted in blue and white, a walk-in its little streets, the main square, and the water springs, are all a must-see once you are in this little pearl. In the afternoon, after lunch, we drive to the north by the capital of the Spanish colony at the beginning of the 20th century. In the late afternoon, we get to the last distention Tanger.
